Seize the day, they say, and I do. I wake early, slip my feet into slippers that were a gift, and walk, at first slowly, into the kitchen. Sometimes that seizing is fast-paced, and I bop from place to place, engagement to engagement, but actually, my favorite way to seize the day is slowly. Meander instead of canter, wander instead of briskly walk, noticing tiny miracles that sometimes come in the form of a sunset, pasta vongole, or a big laugh. Less Google calendar notifications, please and thank you, and more spontaneous moments with the ones who make it all worth seizing. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Dimensions: 3 1/2” x 3”
