As a girl growing up in North Carolina, New York City seemed like a distant dreamland of style and opportunity. As an adult, I realized that was completely accurate. This land of bodega coffee and perfect bagels, Madison Avenue shops, and endless art galleries beckon to me regularly, and I graciously oblige, checking into my favorite neighborhood, frequenting my favorite restaurants, and accepting all of the inspiration that the city that never sleeps brings.
