Katie on Leal Daccarett

I can't remember when exactly I discovered Leal Daccarett, but there's a good chance it was via Moda Operandi, one of my favorite places to discover designers I otherwise probably wouldn't have. I was not surprised to learn that the husband/wife duo is (partially from and), now based in Colombia, a country whose fashion talent these days is bursting at the literal and proverbial seams.

Dramatic draping and mixed materials grabbed me from the get-go. So many unexpected details, like a neckline of layers and layers of scallops on an otherwise very simple shirting material. They seem to choose pops of color, never too much and always in the right way, nearly flawlessly.

I've shopped directly from their site before which seems to be undergoing some sort of transformation. I can't wait to see what's in store.
