Saborta Tented Camp in Tanzania
Eat, Stay, Play
by Katie Kime
We visited Singita’s Sabora Tented Camp in Tanzania between Christmas and New Year’s, and it was the first tent experience we had ever had while on safari. As in, multiple armed guards surround the outskirts of the camp while you sleep to protect against lions.
It was dreamy, though much different than our previous Singita experiences. Like all of their design, it was created to blend into the landscape with a minimal footprint on the land.
Situated on 350,000 protected acres, it’s home to one of the greatest conservation efforts in Tanzania and is also set on the Great Migration route.
If looking for a Tanzania adventure, this one is highly recommended and within driving distance of two other Singita properties in the country. More on our visits there soon…
