Amalfi Coast
Eat, Stay, Play

EAT
We didn’t stay in Naples, but if you’re straight off the plane from the airport like we were, you must get pizza at Pizzeria da Attilio. Our AirBNB owner recommended a restaurant, Alba, that was just around the bend from where we were staying, with the assurance that “Ed Norton eats there every time he’s in town.” It was so good that we ate there twice.
For aperitivo with a quintessential view and decor, check out Hotel Santa Catarina. For a delicious and not-too-fancy meal, opt for Lo Scoglio Restaurant in Marina del Cantone. If in Amalfi, you absolutely must make a reservation at Il Pirata. It just might be your new favorite restaurant. Da Adolfo is legendary, as much (if not more) for the view and the boat ride to get there as for the food.
Le Tre Sorelle is a delicious beachside pizzeria, and Casa e Bottega has delicious cakes, ice cream, and fresh smoothies and juice. For a delicious, fancy meal, check out Chez Black. People love Mimi’s in Revello for pizza, though we never made it there. In the heart of Amalfi, check out De Gemma.
STAY
We stayed at the most incredible AirBNB in Amalfi, which had a private beach and access to their driver. Ciro and Livia, the hosts, were so welcoming, and the lemon groves surrounding the back patio are picturesque. Check out the photos, and you’ll spy some of the locations from our 2024 Summer Collection campaign.
For a luxury stay with inspired interiors at every turn, you can’t beat Le Sirenuse and Il San Pietro di Positano in Positano. The Hotel Santa Caterina in Amalfi is beyond your wildest Italian dreams.
With a wildly large pool for Amalfi and beautiful views, Hotel Belvedere is one of the best values on the Amalfi coast and sits right between Amalfi and Praiano. 40 minutes from Positano and over an hour from Amalfi, Conca del Sogna has a beautiful beach club and restaurant and sits right at the center of picturesque Nerano Bay. With only twelve rooms and a private beach cove, Hotel Villa San Michele is a very affordable romantic hideaway.
PLAY
It’s hard to have a bad day on the Amalfi Coast. If you pack your sneakers, do the Walk of the Gods hike from Bomerano to Positano Beach. (It’s not for the faint of heart!) Make time to wander the idyllic town of Ravello, with its ceramicists and purveyors of limoncello, high above the Amalfi coast. Get a lemon granita from a street cart. Visit the beautiful Duomo di Amalfi (Amalfi Cathedral). Charter a boat for the day with Lucibello and explore Capri. Spend an afternoon at Arienzo Beach Club.
